Amrita University 2014 Engineering Entrance Exam

Amrita University is an UGC recognised university conducting Entrance test for admission of candidates into various engineering undergraduate programs at its 3 campuses located at Bangalore, Coimbatore and Amritapuri. The test for the same will be conducted on 13^th April 2014.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Must be born on or after 1^st July 1993.
• Passed 12^th with 60% aggregate in Physics, Maths and Chemistry or 55% individually.
• Diploma in Engineering with 60% aggregate from a recognised college or university.

EXAM PATTERN

• Duration – 3 Hours
• No of questions – 120

                                 Maths          – 50

                                 Physics       – 35

                                 Chemistry   – 35

• Each correct question will give 3 marks.
• Each wrong answer will deduct 1 mark.
  

APPLICATION PROCESS

• ONLINE: Candidate can apply online through the University website and pay the examination fees online via Credit Card/Debit Card or through Online Banking.

• BY POST: Candidates are required to send a request letter to the Administrative Offices of the Amrita School of Engineering at Bangalore, Coimbatore and Amritapuri with a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000 in favour of Amrita School of Engineering. Candidates are required to write their names and “For B-Tech Application” on the back of Demand Draft and keep one copy of Demand Draft with them for further reference.

• PERSONALLY from the university counters of Amrita school of Engineering by submitting a Demand Draft for Rs. 1000.
  

RESULT

COUNSELLING PROCESS

Counselling will begin in the first week of June 2014 after the result declaration. Those candidates who are in the merit list are called by sending a letter to the counselling.

Candidates can attend counselling at any of three campuses. Candidate has to be physically present during the time of counselling.

Candidate is required to bring all the documents mentioned in the call letter.
