IPU CET University Entrance Exam 2014

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi will organise IPU CET 2014 Entrance Exam for admission in professional engineering degree colleges every year. This year same will happen around Mid-May.


All the applicants are required to check the eligibility criteria very well before applying for the exam.

  • Must have passed XII with an aggregate of 55% in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
  • All the subjects must be cleared with English as compulsory
  • On 1st October 2014 applicant must not be more than 21 years of age
  • 5% relaxation for reserved category


  • 150 objective type questions
  • 3 sections namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • 2.5 Hour exam
  • Medium of exam will be English
  • Correct answer will give 4 marks and wrong answer will deduct 1 mark from the total score.


  • During the mid-January 2014 the application forms will be made available in the designated branches of Indian Bank on the payment of Rs. 1000. Applicants are required to fill the form and send it to the address below.
  • Forms also can be submitted online on the official website of exam. Candidates are required to have a scanned passport size photo and signature copy and fee payment can also be done online via Credit/Debit Card.

    • 85% for Delhi Residents
    • 15% for Non Delhi Residents
  • Institutions located in NCR(Outside Delhi)
    • SC – 15%
    • ST – 7.5%
    • Defence – 5%
    • Physically Handicapped – 3%
  • For Private colleges in Delhi
    • SC – 17%
    • ST – 1%
    • Defence – 5%
    • Physically Handicapped – 3%
    • Management quota – 15%


After the submission of the completed admission form, applicants are require to check the official website of the exam to acquire their admit card. Without Admit Card no applicant will be allowed to enter the exam hall. Admit Card need to be preserved till the admission process is over.


The result for CET 2014 will be declared in 1st week of June 2014 on the university’s official website. Applicants need to obtain their result from the website itself. After result, counselling details will also be updated in the website according to the rank achieved by the candidate and date of counselling will be allotted. Candidates are required to present themselves on the day of counselling with all the required documents.
