Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF) has invited candidates for 570 posts of General Duty Inspector. About ITBP

The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is one of the eight Central Armed Police Forces of India. ITBP was raised on 24 October 1962, under the CRPF Act, in the wake of the Sino-Indian War of 1962. The ITBP was planned for deployment along India’s border with Chinese-occupied Tibet. ITBPF is specialized in mountain force and most of its officers and men are professionally trained mountaineers and skiers.

Age Limit:

Pay Scale:

Authority will pay Rs. 9,300 to Rs. 34,800 with Grade pay of Rs. 4,600 to their selected candidates.

Note: Authority will raise Pay Scale year by year on the basis of job evaluation.

Selection Process:

Candidates will be selected for ITBP Inspector General Duty on the basis of Physical efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, Written Examination, and Medical Examination.

Examination Scheme:

  • Written examination will be of 100 marks with four sections and each section carries 25 marks.
  • Candidates will face questions related to Reasoning, General Knowledge, Language and Mathematics.
  • Duration of Written Examination will be of 120 minutes (2 hours).
