JEE Advanced 2016

IIT Guwahati had conducted JEE Advanced 2016 on 22nd May 2016. The score achieved by the candidate in the entrance exam will help him/her getting admission in the IIT’s.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
JEE Main 2016 top 1,50,000 rank holders would be selected to give the exam. The selected candidates will also have to be in the top 20% window of Class XII marks.
- Top 75750 (50.5%) from the common merit list (CML)
- Top 40500 (27%) from Other Backward Classes-Non creamy layer OBC
- Top 22500 (15%) from Scheduled Caste (SC)
- Top 11250 (7.5%) from Scheduled Tribe(ST) candidates
Candidates passing XII Boards with minimum 60% aggregate (General, OBC) and 55% (ST, SC, PwD) are eligible.
EXAM PATTERN
- 2 Exams – 3 Hrs each
- Questions based on Class XI and XII syllabus of Maths, Physics and Chemistry
- All Objective Type
- Negative marking for some sections
- Medium would be Hindi and English both
AGE LIMIT
- Age Limit for GE and OBC: Born on or after October 01, 1991
- Age Limit for SC, ST and Pwd: Born on or after October 01, 1986
JEE ADVANCED 2016 ONLINE APPLICATION
All the eligible candidates have to fill the online application form from the JEE ADVANCED 2014 official website. The application form will be made available from 29th April, 2016 from 10:00 AM onwards on the JEE ADVANCED 2014 official website before the last date i.e. 4th May, 2016 till 5:00 PM.
After the online registration, candidates must pay the examination fee as reflected through the SBI chalan that is generated during the registration process in any SBI Branch. Registration process will only be completed once the fee received.

ADMIT CARD
After the registration and fee payment process, the candidates are required to download the Admit Card from the official website.
Admit Card or Hall Ticket is mandatory for all the candidates to bring to the exam venue on the exam day and also safe keep the Admit Card till the whole admission process is over.
