EXAMINATION DETAILS FOR RRB NTPC 2019

All the interested and eligible candidates had already filled the online application forms for RRB NTPC and will soon appear for the examination. The dates for the examination will be announced very soon by the authority. The examination for RRB NTPC will be a written type examination. The examination date for the same is most probably scheduled in between June to September 2019.
EXAMINATION PATTERN FOR RRB NTPC 2019
The examination pattern for the RRB NTPC will be held accordingly:
FIRST STAGE: COMPUTER-BASED TEST

NOTE:
- The examination duration for the first stage CBT examination will be 120 minutes.
- The section wise distribution for the examination shown in the above table is only indicative and may contain some changes at the time of examination.
- The procedure of negative marking will be followed and each wrong answer will take away your 1/3rd marks.
- The normalized score of first stage CBT examination shall be used for shortlisting the candidates for 2nd stage CBT as per their merit.
- The minimum percentage required for the candidates belonging to certain categories will be like UR-40%, EWS-40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST-25%
- The minimum percentage of marks can be relaxed by 2% for the candidates belonging to PWBD category.

NOTE:
- The candidates will be shortlisted according to the marks obtained by them in the first stage CBT.
- The authority has the right to increase/decrease the number of vacancies for the candidates this completely depend upon them that whether the posts are fulfilled according to as per pre-planned.
- The examination duration for the second stage examination will be 120 minutes.
- The section wise distribution for the examination shown in the above table is only indicative and may contain some changes at the time of examination.

The questions for the examination will be pertaining to the subjects as follows:
- GENERAL INTELLIGENCE AND REASONING: This includes the topics as follows: Analogies, Completion of Number and Alphabetical Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Analytical Reasoning, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagrams, Puzzle, Data Sufficiency, Statement-Conclusion, Statement-Courses of Action, Decision Making, Maps, Interpretation of Graphs, etc.
- MATHEMATICS: Number System, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportions, Percentage, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and loss, Elementary Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, etc.
- GENERAL AWARENESS: Current Events of National and International Importance, Games and Sports, Art and Culture of India, Indian Literature, Monuments and Places of India, General Science and Life Science, History of India and Freedom Struggle, Physical, Social and Economic Geography of India and World, Indian Polity and Governance-constitution and Political System, General Scientific and Technological Developments including Space and Nuclear Program of India, UN and Other important World Organizations, Environmental Issues Concerning India and World at Large, Basics of Computers and Computer Applications, Common Abbreviations, Transport Systems in India, Indian Economy, Famous Personalities of India and World, Flagship Government Programs, Flora and Fauna of India, Important Government and Public Sector Organizations of India etc.
TYPING SKILL TEST:
The candidates applying for the vacancies as Senior Clerk Cum Typist, Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk Cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Time Keeper must have certain eligibilities:
- The candidate must have an eligibility of typing at least 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Hindi.
- The candidate must know to type with the Kruti Dev and Mangal font in Hindi.
DOCUMENT VERIFICATION:
The candidates will be called upon for the process of Document Verification based on the performance of them in the CBT test and TST and as per the results of their merit will be called upon for the same. The candidates attaining equals to 50% of the number of vacancies for various positions will also be called up for Document Verification.
ADMIT CARD FOR RRB NTPC 2019
The admit card for the candidates appearing for the RRB NTPC examination must download the admit cards before appearing for the examination. The admit cards for the candidates will be issued by the authority via through online. No, admit card will be sent to the candidates through posts.
