JEE Advanced 2014 Details

IIT Kharagpur had conducted JEE Advanced 2014 on 25th May 2014. The score achieved by the candidate in the entrance exam will help him getting admission in the IIT’s.


JEE Main 2014 top 1,50,000 rank holders would be selected to give the exam. The selected candidates will also have to be in the top 20% window of Class XII marks.

  •  Top 75750 (50.5%) from the common merit list (CML)
  •  Top 40500 (27%) from Other Backward Classes-Non creamy layer OBC
  •  Top 22500 (15%) from Scheduled Caste (SC)
  •  Top 11250 (7.5%) from Scheduled Tribe(ST) candidates

Candidates passing XII Boards with minimum 60% aggregate (General, OBC) and 55% (ST, SC, PwD) are eligible.


  • 2 Exams – 3 Hrs each
  • Questions based on Class XI and XII syllabus of Maths, Physics and Chemistry
  • All Objective Type
  • Negative marking for some sections
  • Medium would be Hindi and English both


  • Age Limit for GE and OBC: Born on or after October 01, 1989
  • Age Limit for SC, ST and Pwd: Born on or after October 01, 1984


All the eligible candidates have to fill the online application form from the JEE ADVANCED 2014 official website. The application form will be made available from 4th May, 2014 from 10:00 AM onwards on the JEE ADVANCED 2014 official website before the last date i.e. 9th May, 2014 till 5:00 PM.

After the online registration, candidates must pay the examination fee as reflected through the SBI chalan that is generated during the registration process in any SBI Branch. Registration process will only be completed once the fee received.


  • For GE and OBC: Rs.2000
  • For SC, ST and Pwd: Rs. 1000
  • For Female Candidates: NIL


After the registration and fee payment process, the candidates are required to download the Admit Card from the official website from 10th May, 2014 to 24th May 2014.

Admit Card or Hall Ticket is mandatory for all the candidates to bring to the exam venue on the exam day and also safe keep the Admit Card till the whole admission process is over.
